Returning shoppers:  If you have visited the store before and know how to shop already, simply click the Enter the on-line shop link to take you straight into the on-line catalogue.

New shoppers:  If this is your first time here you are encouraged to read this 'Shopper help' section and to use it whist you shop to assist you in your shopping experience (open this page in a new window as follows: click FILE > NEW WINDOW then open the shop catalogue in a new window also).  This is to allow you to gain maximum benefit from this unique on-line shopping system which has been specially prepared for the Islamic Shariah Institute.

Entering the store & looking for products

When you enter on-line shop, a main 'browse frame' appears and a 'basket frame' below it which you can resize yourself.  There are a number of ways to view the products: Browsing the categories or searching for products.

Browsing the categories

Choose from our Audio Section or the Book Store (in further development).
If, for example you click 'Audio Section' a list of sub-categories appear to the right including Hadeeth, General Titles, Fiqh, Tafseer etc.  Either enter a search word or phrase in the box or click on one of the sub-categories. If, for example you are interested in Tafseer, you will see further sub-categories listed - here the Tafseer sub-categories are Surahs of the Holy Qur'an.  Now select a Surah.

A list of cassettes is listed with a small image on the left hand side, its title and price in the middle and a quantity box / 'add to basket' button on the right so you can add your required amount straight into your shopping basket.
To see a description of the cassette, click on the small image on the left (if visible) or the text link in its place.  You can add the required amount in the box on the right then add it to your basket here also.

In the main browse frame you can search for further products in the current category or click search to do a general search.  Alternatively, you can view other groups by clicking the group name underneath 'Back up to category:'  So if your are in for example a Surah sub-category, click the 'Tafseer' link to select from one of the other Surahs or click 'Audio Section' to go back to view all audio sections.  Clicking 'All items' takes you to the catalogue home page where you can select from 'Audio Section' or 'Book Store'

Searching for products

Click the search button and select if you want to search all categories or a specific category from the drop-down menu then enter a word or phrase in the search box.  Click 'Find it.'  A list of matches are displayed for you to add to your basket.  You can then click 'browse' to continue browsing through the product categories for more products.

Viewing items in your current basket

When you add an item to the basket, it appears in the 'basket frame' at the bottom of the screen.  This shows all the items and their respective quantities that you have in the basket.  You can change the amounts there or enter '0' to remove an item then click 'update quantities' to refresh the new amounts. Note that the weight of each item is also shown in kilogrammes (Kg) e.g 0.12 means 0.12kg (or 120g). 0.6 would mean 0.6kg (or 600g) etc

Checkout to pay for goods

In the ckeckout page you will be presented with 2 options.  Option 1 is for customers who have already shopped before and created an account with a username and password.  Enter your username and password here in Option 1 then click 'Proceed'.  If you are a new customer, you need to create yourself a new account in Option 2.  Simply fill in your details.

Note:  When you create a new account, an e-mail will be sent to you from us confirming your ISI On-Line Shop username, password and details.  Keep this information in a safe place for future reference and other purchases. Therefore please be sure to enter an e-mail address where your account details can be sent to you.

Shipping rates

After entering your account details, proceed to the next stage and select a shipping method from the drop-down list.  It is important that you refer to the shipping rates page and select the correct shipping method for the country that you are purchasing from.  Please select carefully because if you select the incorrect shipping cost then this will delay your order until the outstanding amount is settled.

Ways to send in your order and payment: The internet or by post / phone / fax

Inevitably, the fastest and securest method of purchasing is by entering your card details into the secure SSL payment server.  However, if you do not have access to a debit or credit card or you do not want to process your payment on-line, you can still send the order details in to us via the internet (without on-line payment), and then send the displayed order form with the payment details to us by post, phone or fax.  If you choose the latter option, tick the box underneath 'Send your order details and payment by post.'  Print off the displayed order form page, fill the required payment details and send it to: ISI On-Line Shop, The Islamic Shariah Institute, PO Box 6008, Birmingham, B10 0UW, UK.

Otherwise to proceed with paying via the internet, do not tick this box.  Check your address details and click 'Continue to next stage'.

Approximate order value in your local currency

In this checkout page you can see that the total amount is shown in UK Sterling (GBP), but you can get an approximation of the total amount in your local currency by selecting it from the drop-down box.  If your currency is not listed here visit one of the many currency converter web-sites such as www.oanda.com or www.xe.com

Now proceed to the on-line payment page or you can cancel and return to the shop's main page.

Secure payments page

When you enter the secure payments page, if you wish, you can note down the order number that is displayed 'Total of order number...'  (This will be e-mailed to you automatically anyway).

Cards that we accept

We accept most credit and debit cards that bear the following signs: Visa, Mastercard, Delta and Switch.

Currencies that you can choose from

We can settle the payment in 3 currencies: UK Sterling (GBP), United States Dollar (US$) or the Euro. This means that the currency you choose here will be shown on your bank statement.

At the top right of the secure payments page, the default currency is set to UK Sterling (GBP) so the amount will show on your statement as GBP.  You can view the amount in US$ or EUROS by choosing the currency from the drop-down menu under the ISI  logo then click 'Set Currency'.  Now this will be the currency that will appear on your statement.

You will need to enter the required details in this payments page including your card number, expiry date and issue number (if applicable).  Check that the rest of your details are correct.  (Note:  Please ensure that you have entered an e-mail address so that Worldpay and the ISI can e-mail you confirming the order total.)

Click 'Worldpay Confirm Order' to process the payment.  A payments confirmation page appears showing the details you have entered.  You can change any of these details by clicking the 'Change details' button at the bottom.  Otherwise, click 'OK, Submit Order'.

If your card is processed but there was a problem with your payment, an error page comes up informing you that your payment was not accepted.  You will need to re-enter a valid card number.  Click the BACK button on your browser a few times until you return to the Checkout page.  Check the amount again and proceed to the payments page and as before enter a card number that is valid.

Once your payment is accepted, a 'Order received' page appears outlining the order that you have sent to us with the order reference number.

From here you can continue shopping with a new basket session.

How the payment appears on your statement

Please note that the payment will appear on your statement as a payment to Worldpay on behalf of the Islamic Shariah Institute. It may take the following format: "WP Islamic Shariah"

You can expect to receive some or all of the following e-mails when you shop with us:

1)  An e-mail confirming your username and password when you first register with us.

2)  If you choose to send in your order by post, an e-mail will be sent to you asking you to print out your order and send it with your payment details to the ISI address shown.
