Ramadhan Programme 2002
Ramadhan is a very blessed time for Muslims throughout the world. It is a time of abstention, reflection, meditation and submission. During the day Muslims are expected to fast and at night worship their Lord. Part of this nightly worship is the chance to listen to the words of their Creator in one of His homes - the Masjid. After all, Ramadhan IS the month of the Quran. It is the month that the Quran was revealed and is the same month where it is recited individually and in congregation around the world. It is such a blessed time that changes people's lives during the month itself and hopefully the momentum carries on after Ramadhan also. One way to maximise benefit is to listen to and understand some of the lessons of the Holy Quran. You now have the opportunity to take part in a regular programme of learning of the Quran.
During the month of Ramadhan at Birmingham Central Mosque in Highgate, Birmingham, UK, there will be a regular programme of talks after Taraweeh prayers. Each night a short summary will be given in English and in Urdu of the portion of the Qur'an that is recited that night. Thereafter a talk will be held in English on various topics.
Salatul E'sha will commence at 7:30pm.
Taraweeh salah will start at approximately 7:50pm.
Summary of portion of Quran recited in Urdu / English at approx. 9:10pm.
Talk on various topics in English at approx. 9:40pm for 30 mins.

If you are unable to attend the Quran summary of the portion that is recited that night, then you can listen to the summary each night from the mosque online. This is a valuable opportunity for our sisters and youngsters to benefit from these unique gatherings EACH NIGHT.

After Ramadhan
Insha-Allah after Ramadhan, a new programme of talks will commence. Regular talks will be held every Tuesday and Friday at the Birmingham Central Mosque, Highgate, Birmingham, U.K. on Tafseer ul Quran, Hadeeth (including the study of al-Tajrid al-Sarih, The Abridged Sahih al Bukhari), Fiqh and Aqeedah by Shaykh Abu Yusuf Riyadh ul Haq. The talks commence at precisely 8:00pm.
You are requested to participate in these blessed gatherings - a truly unique opportunity to understand the religion of Islam as Allah has commanded us to do so, in one of His homes. You are also encouraged to bring along your family and friends to benefit from the barakat (blessings) of these gatherings.
All talks are delivered in the English language and separate seating arrangements are provided for sisters.
